After learning how to quilt I have written a grant and I hope to be able to buy some quilting materials to use in my art class. I think the kids would enjoy the process, even if we only make little pot holder quilts.

Finished my quilt!

It's really quite beautiful. I'm not patient enough to piece a quilt. Corners are not my friends. I do appreciate the quilts done by others, however. Who will you write the grant through?
I'm writing the grant through the Molly Brown Foundation. http://tiny.pl/8qd2 The foundation underwrites matching fund grants to local art teachers. I'm going to ask my schools PTA to help with the matching funds. I think that they will help if I also make a quilt for them to auction off.
I'll find out on Sept 12th if I will receive the grant.
